About the event

What is Kalaripayattu?Kalaripayattu, originating in the southern Indian state of Kerala, is one of the oldest documented martial arts, with references dating back over 3,000 years. Developed to prepare warriors for combat, it integrates elements of self-defense, healing techniques, and spiritual discipline. The term "Kalari" refers to training ground, and "Payattu" means practice or fight. Today, it is practiced not just for martial skill but for its holistic approach to mind-body well-being.
